As a new homeschool parent, sometimes you make mistakes. This was actually the very first lapbook we
made and it was very dumb. It took a great deal of effort to make because we put velcro on all the cards.
I would recommend NOT doing the velcro if you make this lapbook. Also, the cards fall out of the pockets
so you will need to design better pockets.
Your homeschooled kids may find this game a more fun way of practicing multiplication facts.

Instructions
LEVEL: BEGINNERS
- 1) - Select a number to work on from the pockets. Pull out all numbers and
place on the working pad. It is ok for beginners to place them in order.
- 2) - Beginners get seven spins total, no timing.
- 3) - Get your paperclip and a pencil. Place one end of the paper clip at
the center of the spinner. Put the pencil inside the paperclip with the point at the center of the
spinner and press down slightly. Spin the paper clip with your finger. The number it points to is
the number to play with. If you have already landed on that number, you forefeit that spin and have
one less spin to use in scoring.
- 4) - You must now multiply the number you landed on by the number you
are playing. For exmple, if you chose to play #3 and placed the answer cards for #3 on the work pad,
then you would multiply #3 by every number you spin. If you land on 6, then 3 x6 = 18 and you would
find the answer card showing #18 on the workpad. Then place take the answer card from the workpad
and place on the # that matches the number that your spinner pointed to, in this case #6.
- 5) - At the end of all spins, add up your answer cards on the gameboard.
Note, if you fill a column, you can double the answer cards in that column, if you fill a row, you
can triple the answer cards in that row. If one number is both in a filled row or column, you
multiply the answer by 5. Write your total along with the number you were playing and the date on
the answer card. At the end of play, Add up all your scores and take it to the teacher to get a
check for the total. At the end of the week, you can take your check to the school bank to cash in
for ‘goldbucks’. You may use your goldbucks on Friday to buy something from the treasure box, or
save them for larger items in the treasure box.
LEVEL: ADVANCED
Advanced play is identical to beginners except for:
- 1) - A one minute time is used instead of a finite number of spins.
- 2) - Advanced players may not put answers in order on the work pad.
