If you have a child who hates to write, make it fun! What I did was buy cards and envelopes for
them to create/address for a holiday. Christmas and Valentine's works great but anyone's birthday
will work. Make sure to stamp it and mail it!
Another idea is playing the shopping game! I bought blank price tags at the craft store. We then
took some toys into the living room and set them up on the couch. Then we made wrote the price we
wanted to sell each item. This is great for Kindergarten and below.
Another idea is writing checks. Let your child watch you write a check. Then say we are going to
play store, and instead of using money, we are going to write checks. This is great for practicing printing
or cursive. Download the Pretend
Checks Printable.
I also create handwriting worksheets that have information of interest to my child. If they like dinosaurs,
make the worksheet information about dinosaurs.

Flowers and Fruits. Flowers have special parts so they can make more plants. The stamen of the flower
makes pollen, a sticky powder. The pistil takes in the pollen and makes seeds. The seeds grow into new
plants.
Metamorphic rocks are originally igneous or sedimentary rocks that have changed due to movement of the
earth's crust. They have been transformed by great heat and pressure. Examples are slate, schist, gneiss and
quartzite.
Tyrannosaurus Rex is a large carnivore that lived in forested river valleys in North America during the late
Cretaceous period of the Mesosoic Era. It became extinct 65 million years ago. T-rex is awesome!
